Ganesh Chaturthi 2022: Understanding and Connecting With Lord Ganesha

Connecting With Lord Ganesha

One of the most uniquely imagined, most giving, most powerful, and most loved is the Lord Ganesha. A mouse for his vehicle and dedication that wrote the entire Mahabharata, Lord Ganesha is truly majestic.

Happy Ganesh Chaturthi, dear Tribe. We wish you prosperity, wisdom, and JOY!

The Known and Unknown Legends of Lord Ganesha

lord ganesha story

Lord Ganesha is infamously celebrated as the Lord of cutting obstacles, both material and spiritual. We call him Vighnaharta (the one who removes obstacles) precisely because of this reason.

Every beginning is initiated by Ganesha, be it a prayer ceremony or the inauguration of a new home or business.

Did you know that long before Mahabharata took place, Ganesha wrote the entire epic down? The sage Vyasa came to Ganesha seeking help for transcribing the Mahabharata epic after Lord Brahma handed over this responsibility to Vyasa.

Ganesha agreed to help, however, there was one condition. Ganesha would write the epic if only Vyasa dictated it uninterruptedly.

So Vyasa spoke, and he spoke uninterruptedly for months. Thus, Ganesha wrote the entire Mahabharta without skipping a word.

We don’t only know Ganesha as the Lord of removing obstacles but as also the symbol of wit and wisdom. In fact, chanting “Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha,” balances our Root Chakra so we walk our journey in this material world without obstacles.

We celebrate the birth of Lord Ganesha when we celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi. We celebrate wisdom and intellect and we celebrate a path devoid of obstacles.

Connecting with the energy of Ganesha:

ganesh facts

Whether or not you celebrate Ganesh Chaturthi with all the show and pomp: with prayers, rituals, drumrolls, and ultimately offering the Ganesha idol to the waters, you can still connect with the energy of Lord Ganesha.

It isn’t a coincidence that Ganesha is the remover of obstacles. He places those obstacles in our path for a very important purpose: so we learn our life lessons and grow from and through them.

You can connect with and honor Ganesha in these ways:

  • When a challenge in the clothes of an obstacle shows up, understand what you can learn from it instead of trying to bypass it.
  • Your wisdom is your magic, your medicine. Don’t neglect it. Take all you can from your lessons and experiences.
  • If you struggle with security and stability in your material life, your Root Chakra is most likely seeking your attention, pray to Ganesha to connect more deeply with your Root Chakra.

We wish you mighty new beginnings this Ganesh Chaturthi.

Blessings,
